The Bride loves corn. On the Cob, Roasted, Boiled, Creamed etc. she will not touch hominy nor grits any way shape or fashion. I don’t understand it. Now confession time. I use Instant Grits-at Times- to thicken soups stews chili etc- if needed. I did it today, 1 packet of IG- on 2nd Round of yesterday’s rotisserie chicken soup/stew. She’s on her third bowl. She’s bragging how good it is.
I’ll confess someday, just not today.

I use masa flour to thicken mexican soups and stews. I keep a bag in the freezer and I don't tell cause what they don't know won't hurt them.

my dad used to do the same thing to my sister...she thought she was eating chicken but it was rabbit. 30-something years later and she still has not gotten over it.

I'm just surprised that good looking pot of stew made it to a second day.

We raised sheep and lambs. My sisters' lamb was named Freckles.
One Easter, over Leg of Lamb, I asked - "Hey Dad, are we eating Freckles?"
Sister has never eaten lamb again!

Good looking soup, Adams! We'll keep the secret.
