My new cooker added to the outdoor cooking area. I have been wanting a pizza oven for a while now and almost pulled the trigger on an uuni. I decided to go a bit bigger and get a full sized oven. I can’t wait to get this set up and cooking on it.

Here is the oven I went with. I’ll post images once I set it up https://www.lapiazzawoodovens.com/shop/Toscana-p80839561

Seems crazy expensive for what it is, but I haven’t done any research on it so I could be entirely mistake. Based on the cursory look.

I would love to have a nice pizza oven. Do you have a good recipe for dough?

Those are Canuck prices and this is a very affordable option especially as this is a quality built oven

I have a bunch depending on the flour I use. What will you be cooking on and what flour do you like?

Maybe. Itís still 1500+ real dollars! Like I said in first post I only did a cursory look since on my iPhone.

I started with a Weber and moved into various Kamados. I always said the Kamado is the Swiss Army knife of bbq, however, I am slowly looking to customize cookers for various cooks.

I have two kamados still and a pellet smoker still and think this will be a nice addition to the fleet. My only other thing that I may eventually get to is an offset... who knows

The other oven I was looking at was three times the price and the quality of this grill may it a good choice for me.

Can't wait for pictures of the pizza cooks! My wife wants an outdoors pizza oven so that's what I'm going to get her for our Anniversary next summer. That's a win-win for me!

Rocc box pizza oven (https://www.roccbox.com/us/product/)

These seem expensive for what they are but, also have really good reviews from multiple places.

I'm sure others may have this same set up, but I use King Arthur bread flour and will either cook on kettle (with elevated stone) or oven with stone preheated and broiler.

Wood fired ovens are up there in price but I don't think anything cheap can compare to what you get out of these ovens. Exactly the reason why I have not been able to replicate the pizza from my favorite wood burning joint.

I was able to shovel a pathway and get it in place in the yard. I can’t wait to get some wood and start cooking on it

That's a great-looking build! How big is your interior (pizza size, height for roasts and other stuff)?

I was able to play around with the grill today as I burned it in. The biggest stress was learning how to control heat temps. I dialled the oven in at 400 and maintained temp for about 2 hours before it started to die down. Added another two logs and opened the vents and I was at 700 in no time. It’s similar to what I know, yet a bit different. It will take some time to master it but man am I ever looking forward to it.

I think playing with sticks will ultimately peak my curiousity with respect to an offset... small steps.

I have oven similar to yours and it makes great pizzas. Iíve found that high quality flour makes a big difference for these high temp wood fired ovens. Also a IR temp gauge is a necessity to get accurate floor temps. Looking forward to seeing the pies.

I sent an email to La Piazza Wood Ovens inquiring about availability in the USA or, picking one up in person and driving it across the border but, I haven't heard back.

They sure look nice and seem to be priced right for what they are. However, they are missing out on potential sales without any distribution in the USA or, at least some customer service online!

Without VAT or GST or whatever it is called in Canada and some currency conversion differences, I could see a vacation trip again to Canada and picking one up if NAFTA would let me bring it home without hassles and taxes at the USA / Canada border.

I reached out to the company and I spoke to one of the owners. He gave me his information and told me to pass it along to you.

The price point was bang on for me to. All the ovens I have looked st are triple this cost. Yesterday I had the oven at 700į and I could touch the entire exterior of the oven with my bare hand. They use 12cm of insulation opposed to the industry standard of 2cm

Curious, did you ever look into the Pizza Party ovens in your research?

https://pizzapartyshop.com/en/

They make ovens now that can run on either wood or LP. Made in Italy, shipped to the states. Somewhat mobile and not too badly priced. i think when I outgrow my Blackstone I have a Pizza Party Passione calling my name.

https://pizzapartyshop.com/en/16-outdoor-gas-pizza-oven-mobile-pizza-party

Anyway, congrats on the new oven. Looking forward to seeing some pizzas!

Those look great. Iíll be honest, I have a local bbq store that I love to support. They have the Fontana ovens and the La Piazza Wood Ovens. All the reading I did, the units were close and I went for price. No compromise on quality and they are a local business as well.
