Sam’s 2.98 for an Excel USDA Prime Packer + prime rib eyes red tagged-choice rib eyes red tagged. , United 0.88c# for twin packs of Boston Butt. And this seasoning- not on sale but it is killer, and not always easy to find. El Diablo mesquite lump 1-2$ off per bag. El Diablo I’ve had pretty good luck with the smaller 20# bags. So thru one of those in the basket too.
All pretty rediculous WHY??? Because she only sent me to an east store for one item. A deep disposable cake pan with lid at a Dollar Store. 265$ later the freezers are full. And I did get the cheap pan-with lid :/))

The more I hear about people not being able to find brisket in their neck of the woods, I think that it would be a determining factor where I could move if I ever left KC.

The Sam's in Gainesville usually has Packers, but I have never seen a prime packer. Or prime anything lol.

They had 2 Prime. One was 16# and this one. Rest were select at 2.78#

I'm glad you have it so good, Briskets, Short Ribs and Tri Tips are ridiculous here, but what you gonna do. Picked this up today to smoke tomorrow, wife er I mean Bride said she wants some Chili soon so time to smoke a Brisket, leftovers will be chopped for future chili cooks.

Brisket is all hip and in vogue now.......commanding prices that the well heeled hipsters are willing to pay.

I remember when brisket was practically a "give away" piece.

The pendulum will swing onto another piece sooner or later.......I predict tri tip.

I'm in Gainesville, too. I've only seen them in Sam's Sarasota. Costco Wesley Chapel isn't so far from us for prime packers. Have gotten several there and happily lugged em home!

The Restaurant Depot in JAX has prime briskets but since I never get up there I usually go to Walmart for a Choice packer. Its the only place here that sells them.

Costco has been holding steady here at 2.99/lb for prime packers.

Out here in AZ brisket is abundant in about any store you go to and a lot of the time you can find prime packers for $1.77 / lb I'm not bragging but it just seems strange to me that they are so hard to find in other parts of this great nation.
