I've seen guys make them and post up pics of them.

Looked like sliders with doughnuts as buns.

Seems pretty easy for you to try out.

I don't see the appeal of them, but then again I thought a fried egg on a burger sounded crazy......until I tried it.

I try one if it were a sausage patty instead of a burger, with a honey maple bacon topping.

Not a burger, but I've gotten a Bacon Egg n Cheese sandwich on a glazed donut at Dunkin Donuts. The sweet and salty are great together!!!!

I still haven't given in with the egg. Lol

A bunch of guys at worked ordered out from a local spot that does great burgers. They each went with.

Next time we ordered....I joined in the egg madness.

Not saying I do it every time....but it is good.

Guacamole or pimento cheese are great toppers, too.

I like the way you think! That sounds awesome.

A vendor was doing these where we were vending and gave out samples. To sweet for me.

There's a bar/restaurant near my office that does this with doughnuts from the (awesome) Sublime Doughnuts. I haven't tried it but have been with plenty of people who have - most say it's OK. Too much sweet before dessert for me I'd think. I'll go with the 'burgers' that Sublime does themselves:

I've done them at home with raised glazed donuts from a local bakery. I dusted the burger patties with my rib rub and used thick cut bacon. They were excellent.
I have also made mini bacon cheese burgers with sour cream glazed donut holes from Tim Hortons, entered them in a throwdown a couple of years ago.
IMHO it's worth doing at least once.
