The gateway will cost an additional $89 or so and you will be able to connect the Smoke to your home network via WiFi and then access the information from your smartphone or tablet. It looks to be about the size of the current receiver.

It is a two channel RF pit and or food monitor. Similar to a Maverick ET-732 or ET-733. It is far more user friendly than the Mavericks. Normal retail is $99 but Thermoworks puts them on sale occasionally like the rest of their stuff. Very high quality unit that is worth every penny of the cost.
