View Full Version : 1st time short ribs on the Traeger

And it's definitely not the last time.

After trimming some fat, gave them a good rub and put them on the Traeger with Mesquite pellets. Sprayed them a few times with apple juice. Checked them at 88 degrees C and weren't done yet but they were at 92C after about 8,5 hours. They were amazing, big and bold in flavour and VERY tender.

I just got a Fireboard so this was a good session to check it out and compare with the Traeger probes. At lower temps, there was a 2-2,5 degrees C difference but at higher temps there was a minor difference. Fireboard setup was easy and it worked like a charm.
