Awesome! I tell my wife when she's looking gifts for me that if it has a motor, or I can drink it or has to do with fire it'll be just fine. :)

It's just sitting there, taunting me  this whole working for a living thing has got to stop :-D

I'm hoping to season it this evening, but it may end up being tomorrow evening.

Jealous! I should have 3 coming my way. Luckily I called the distributer here in GA because it said there were there and that they would call to schedule, but they didn't. So I called and they said they were backed up because of the holiday so lots to ship out, but said mine would be on a truck tomorrow.

That blue is awesome!

It's all in what you see.
My wife is out of town, and, if this was in the front yard when she came home, she would say,
"Oh good, you made me a burn barrel!".
I, on the other hand, would go to the butcher shop.:-D

OK, admit it, the delay is not because of work. You just ran out of charcoal and you don't want to admit it in public! :-P

Nice drum. I've been looking at Hunsaker and gateway drums lately. This may have tipped the balance.

Congratulations. That's a great color too.

Honestly, you will be happy with either. I chose Hunsaker after talking to a lot of drum owners because of the design. I like the bottom intake, the Vortex basket and the floating hinge. They cook great, and that is really what matters.

Nice drum, but I think you've reached your limit on smokers. LOL!! I know if I had more than the Yoder and Weber I own, I'd never be able to decide which one to use and no smoking or grilling would get done.

Enjoy the new toy!!

I do need to thin the herd, but it's hard to decide which to get rid of.

In my defense, I gave my daughter's friend a WSM on the 4th. She is active duty Army and was honored on the 4th by representing the Army in the flag ceremony at Wrigley Field, and she was thinking about buying a smoker, so we decided to give her the WSM as a thank you for her service. I would rather see her use it than have it collecting cob webs!

Have you ever compared your grate temp, to the stack temp gauge?

Ron
Have you ever compared your grate temp, to the stack temp gauge? Not Ron but I have, using a Mav 732 it was about 15 degrees higher on the grate at the highest mounting point than the Tel-Tru was reading. The Tel-Tru is adjustable, I have a new Thermoworks Smoke still in the box and I'm not sure if I will ever use it. Been going off the Tel-Tru and using my Thermapen to check temps and tenderness with great results.
