Finally picked up a red kettle, they don't come up often here. This one turned out be a wood dale!

I hunted on craigslist and let go for about a month looking for a kettle and just gave up and brought one brand new then now of course I have seen a few including a performer for $100 that I am real tempted to move on

No, the daisy wheel ones just do a better job once you try low and slow. I dread the day that I have to settle for "one touch". On my daisy wheel kettles, I can control temps the same as you can on a WSM without the expense.
