I'm a sucker for good bbq and good pizza.. Probably the same as most of us around here. My wife suggested that we make some pizza yesterday so I took a shot at cooking them in the firebox of my smoker. I hadn't made pizza dough in a while, but it turned out surprisingly well. Total cook time was about 3 and a half minutes. I've tried this in several cookers over the years without a ton of success, so I was more than pleasantly surprised last night. I'm sure I'll give this another spin in the near future.

Hey Thanks Clark! This one was hers. My kid had a little one and I had one with pepperoni. Sure hit the spot:)

That looks terrific. When I had a wood burning fireplace I loved to make pizza in it.

That's as good as it gets and one fine looking pie! This would be a great entry in the 2017 Noob Showcase Throwdown:

A GREAT looking pie. I think you've inspired a new use for my unused COS.

Thanks for comments guys. I think I've attempted to make pizza on every grill I've ever owned. Some work better than others.:thumb::thumb:

Was this done inside a Slugger model from Ironsides ? My wife is from Green Bay and it's easy to detour your way en route from Colorado. Now selling this idea to the wife is a whole other matter!!

I did use a slugger for the pizza. If your wife is like mine, it's easier to talk her into pizza then BBQ.
