As a champion of the ok joe line i have to say im not impressed with this setup. The offset portion is too small, i want to say smaller than a highland. The gasser side is most likely junk. Most every hybrid i seen has suffered from doing to much poorly.

Even at $200 i see this a bad deal. For refrence i paid $250 for a gently used and already modded ok joe longhorn (the larger model)

Im seeing a discrepancy. The description says propane charcoal hybrid but the stock photo is of the traditional longhorn.

The dual units ive seen in person have seperate cook chambers.

Maybe there is a model im not familiar with, the one in the ad doesnt appear to have a propane hookup.

This is on Ok Joe Website....Ninja be right......I think pic is wrong in above link and it's the crappy propane grill/crappy smoker combo NOT the Longhorn pictured.......I'd cancel the order.

I haven't much experience with combo grills, but in the software industry we have tons of expensive systems that try to be all things to all businesses and end up not being very good at anything. I like my PK and my Broilmate gasser.

In my haste to get the deal, it did not cross my mind that the item name and the item pictured, did not match.

I've shot off an email to customer service asking for clarification and am hoping I am not stuck with a combo grill I really do not want.

Most likely because fieldandstreamshop.com is a subsidiary of Dick's Sporting Goods.

The customer service rep who emailed me said they do offer free return shipping; I just need to call for a UPS label once my smoker gets here.

She was unable to tell me which of the smokers I would be receiving, though.

I guess off to Lowes I go this weekend.

I have one of these and can't recommend it. Both chambers are too small. The opening between the fire box and cook chamber is huge. It'll burn one side of a brisket if left in the same position so it needs to be constantly rotated. It's hard to rotate because of the small space. The gas side has the typical problem of one little spot that gets hot enough to sear a steak or burger while the rest of the grate doesn't. Mine just sets idle.
