I know the folks at my local Kroger think that I am a Hobo.I go every Sunday morning, wearing the same old ratty, stained clothes that I wear EVERY Sunday.I have already ruined these,so I see no need to ruin any more good clothes.I despise aprons,so I just suit up in my old, ragged cooking clothes and get after it.Anyone else?

I have a few outfits that are similar. Keeps the sales people from coming up and asking to help!

Pretty much the same here. When I was doing woodworking and using routers and things like that, an apron was welcome. Even if it made me look like Giupetto. Cooking, not so much.

I wear one of my aprons after ruining a few expensive shirts. The first one I got said

http://hydra-lister.s3-website-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/I_Like_Pig_Butts_And_I_Cannot_Lie_Funny_Apron_For_ Kitchen_BB_26_res.jpg

People loved it and so it became a fun thing for people to bring me. I now have a bunch of them with some of my favorite phrases being "grills love my meat", "when you taste my meat, you can tell I rubbed it", etc.

Next month I'll be donning my new favorite for the 4th...

After stepping on coals barefoot too many times, I wear shoes. Shorts, pants, or sweatpants, always, and a shirt, sometimes.

I wear a heavy cloth apron and the same pair of shoes. After dropping hot grease, hot coals, BBQ sauce, etc, etc, I just settled on a comfortable pair of shoes and stuck with them.

I have 2 of these... one for welding & another for cooking (when I wear an apron).

Whatever I'm wearing from work, usually pretty grungy.

I'm of the opinion you don't judge a book by it's cover. One of our landlords is worth a half billion, he is a down to earth gentleman. Blue jeans and a button down shirt. :)

I have 3 pair of shorts and maybe 5 tshirts that are my go to weekend attire. They are stained like crazy but they get the job done. I also look like a bum when heading to the store

I usually wear my new Levi's jeans and a t-shirt. I can't wear old Levi's because of the 35 lbs. I gained since I quit smoking (cigarettes) in October. I do have a favorite shirt for cooking. It has a picture of ribs on a kettle grill and says "I like a big rack" above the picture.

Any old pair of pants and a shirt which I don't mind getting dirty will work for me. When the weather turns colder however, I'm quite partial to an old Carhartt blanket-lined chore coat. Turning up the collar really helps keep those stiff Oklahoma winds at bay.

I smoke nude. My wife hates it...the neighbors hate it, the local Police hate it and mostly the DA hates it. But then I send them over some of my Que and all is well.

You know my wife can always get the grease out so I wear whatever I throw on in the morning. Some sandals are good so I can kick them off when I go in and out of the house. Dont want to track mud or grease on my wifes clean floors.

Have a Weber Apron with a bottle opener (comes in handy), but most of the time it's the same dirty hoodie. I try to change before guests come over but that does not always happen.

P.S. You can get the big and tall Levi's. Most funny part of big and tall Levi's is they don't list the waist x length on the tag displayed for all like the standard ones.

My wife doesn't really care. She can get stains out of anything. So no real attire for me.

The only time she says anything is like when I'm smoking a butts or brisket. I'll come to bed late at night and she'll say, "I smell smoke? Oh god, is the house on fire?" No honey.....it's just me.

I quit hugging my cookers, so no more grease stains for me. Ya'll should try it.

If it is a special day its a tube top and g string. A tube top is a great way to carry potatoes to the grill.

Yup.

I've got a pair of jeans I slopped black grease from my WSM water pan all over, those are my smoking pants. I have enough T-shirts that I don't care about that I just wear one of them.

Usually too hot here for an apron or too much more than shorts and a tee shirt. I have a bunch of pairs of swim trunk type shorts and I keep collecting various BBQ and / or funny tees to wear with them. If they get too stained, they become yard work clothes. I only wear those to Home Depot...

I remember one time I had invited some friends over for Fajitas. Fired up the grill and went to take a shower and get "nicely" dressed before they came over. Don't wear white Docker shorts and then brush off your grill grates. Just saying...

Even with the 35 lbs. I've gained I'm only up to wearing 36 x 36 jeans. But my old 32's and 34's are a distant memory.

I have 10 years worth of kickball team shirts that I wear for doing any type of grungy work. I have a bunch that have the grease stains on the stomach area from leaning against the drum and tables I use.

I have a dedicated set of T shirts that I wear when cooking.

My wife washes them separately from the other laundry.

I told her that I'm thinking about marketing that all day in the smoke smell as a cologne:

Pitmaster!

Chicks Dig It!

Yeah....she thinks I'm weird. :-D
