Bride: you want chicken fried steak tonight?
Me: seriously??alright !!!!
Bride: don't get too excited. Almond flour coating cooked in coconut oil and gravy made from almond "milk"-cabbage for the side
Me: oh boy-something fried 🙌
Bride: will you go buy a good steak- to trim and make the CFS? Nothing else-just "A" steak. Plus your other meals today are smoothies.
Me: Got it-one steak.

Looks like a cast iron supper tonight.

I always thought the yellow sale stickers trumped anything that was previously discussed before going to the store right?

Fork tender. Full disclosure- It needed a tad more pepper, but we ate it so fast no additional seasoning added.

Glad I am not the only one who goes to pick up one thing and comes home with 10! Love me some CFS!

Looks wonderful. Chicken fried steak is a weakness of mine. I'm usually incapcitated after eating too much of it when I get the chance, but always worth it. How did you like the granola gravy?

Regarding getting "1" steak, I commend you for not wasting a good opportunity to provide for the future needs of your family. Those sales dont just happen every day, and under no circumstances does meat on sale buy itself. Youve done a good thing.

Looks good! I'm also curious about the review of the "granola gravy"

Seriously though, good score on the carnivore requiem! Yellow stickers in the basket every time!

Wife: (as I'm placing yellow sticker meat in the basket) Why do you need that? What are you going to do with it?
Me: I don't know but I'll think of something... Why don't you go pick out some veggies?

It was all grand. Even the seasoned roasted veggies. She said it had been 2006 or 2007 since we'd had chicken fried steak. Anyway- she used Spelt flour for the CFS and Gravy- unflavored almond milk and the CFS drippings that were cooked in coconut oil.
I though it all very good.
She cooked the CFS and gravy in a well seasoned vintage Wagner CI skillet. Made it even more special.
