View Full Version : Shirley Fab upgrade. Best wife ever

Over the weekend I showed my wife the new video that Paul posted of the 24X42 cabinet model and explained this was the smoker we were getting. She had a look of disappointment on her face which made me very concerned. After 20 minutes of laying out the dimensions in our living room she explained that we would need a 24X50 smoker! I spoke with Paul and we are good to go on the upgrade. Apparently I have whole hog cooking in my future that I did not know about. Also, I have the best wife ever!

Good decision and GREAT wife. FWIW my RF has a 24X54 main cooking grate and I've squeezed a 135# in there racer style, 100#-125# should fit easy!

Count your blessings that your wife backs your obsession! I compromised my standards on my first cooker and ordered one too small. You won't be disappointed with your decision! Enjoy
