Used the INSIDE stick burner today with some large splits :)

was bringing some wood inside for the stove while i was thinking about supper.

was early enuf so i put together a beef stew.

no recipe needed,,wing it !!

let it sit on stove for hours until the smell in the house is such that you cant stand it anymore and pull it right out of the pot and enjoy while watching the snow outside :)

this thing takes about eight 20in long pieces,,dont have to tend often.

Who else been cooking on their heater ??
show some stuff.

I also cook INSIDE this thing on a grate,,great for quick steaks :)

That looks delicious , my wood stove is an insert , not much room to cook on , I need to get me some cast iron oval cookware for it

If your insert uses fire bricks you can cut a grate to fit over the brick supports and cook IN it like i do.

let your hard wood go down to coals and cook in it like you would any wood burner you had outside !!

got your air intake to control,,your exhaust damper to control,,get some good heat and some good smoke too !

you can cook the ultimate steak inside an air tight woodstove,,comes out awesome..

next one i do i will post.

Use an oven thermometer if you want to bake anything in it.

I'll put the WGA in the fireplace during bad weather or when the skeeters are thick on the patio. Here's some turkey thighs (I don't use those peach can brasiers any more.)
