Made some mac the other night testing out a new recipe for Thanksgiving. Here's some pics of what went down.

But with a lot of my macs my favorite part really is just that top charred layer so here's what I do with the leftovers sometimes.........

Put down one layer on a tray and put it under the broiler to slightly warm and mostly to get a layer of initial crispy/char :clap2:

Then put on some veggies which give it a nice fresh layer and then some extra cheese and back under the broiler

All done and with lots of crispy cheese. The veggies do a good job of giving a 2nd spin on a dish you had once already and lightens the mac when just mac by itself can be heavy depending on your mood :becky:. I'll eat it with a little sour cream on the side.

Here's an idea for left over mac n cheese....put it in a skillet and fry it...the crispy bottom is just awesome. It is absolutely the best way to reheat MnC.

I'd have never thought of that in a million years, I'm glad you thought of this. I hope you don't mind if I borrow this. Fantastic repurposing of an old favorite.
