I know, they're not really ribs, but I've never done them before so why not!

Rubbed with some Belcampo's butt rub, got Bg Joe up to 318, threw a couple of chunks of mesquite and pecan on, then the meat. Gonna let them go for an hour or so then in a pan with some BBQ sauce and chopped onions, and maybe some Hoover sauce.

Can't say I've made 'em either... but yours look good so far.

Give us a hollar as able.

Looks like they're ready for the pan!

Added sauce to the bottom of the pan, put the ribs in, added the rest of the sauce, then the diced onions. Covered with foil and back on the grill.

I didn't realize it, but when they're done, I think I'll have McRibs! Ha! Only much, much better than Mickey D's!

Nice work! Looks great. Country style ribs can be had on the cheap, more meat for the dollar.

I do love CSR's and yours look great... I like to smoke them till a nice bark forms, then foil till almost ready to fall apart, then uncover, sauce and smoke till the sauce is set and sticky... better than burnt ends IMO.

i've been cooking something similar for years now. i just make some sauce in a large pot or use one of your premade favorites. throw the ribs in. put a lid on. let them braise on the bbq for bout 1.5hrs. then i take them out of the pot and onto the grill for some marking. throw back in pot for bout 20 mins and serve. they are always a huge hit where ever i bring them and they are very tender.

That sounds really good! I'll have to give that a try next. A friend asked me what csr's were like and I told him basically bite size butt!
