I bought 2 chickens last week and almost forgot about them until I was at work last night. So this morning I cleaned them up and put them in a big ziplock with orange juice. Then seasoned the inside with some of the gingery orange salt I bought from one of the brethren here. Then a half of a chopped up orange and onto the rotisserie shaft. I coated the skin with blood orange olive oil and more orange salt plus some fresh cracked pepper. It is spinning on indirect heat for now. When it gets close I will turn on the back burner to crisp the skin up.133642

I know, for shame; using gas! But I bought it for the rotisserie, so I might as well get some use out of it. :biggrin1:

Sounds great! I'm sure your roti chicken on a gasser is better than many on charcoal. Post pics of your finish

Let's see some pics. I love the flavor of oranges and this sounds like it would be very tasty.

We spin on gas a lot during our summer, no solid fuel days.
That flavour profile sounds good

Served with garden tomatoes with a pinch of the garlicky lemon salt and home made zucchini dill pickles. There is some citrus flavor but it is in the background. I'm calling it a success!
