Filled out the paperwork, soon I'll be dwfisk.com, LLC

Then we will have a website at dwfisk.com

After all that comes together I guess y'all can find me over in the vendors side of the site.

Been negotiating with several steel suppliers and finally settled on an outfit at the port of Tampa that services the shipbuilding industry to purchase new standard spec pipe to so I'm not held hostage to the dwindling supply of surplus propane and compressor tanks. Got a good price on 20-30 inch diameters, full 21 ft sticks if I pick them up in Tampa. So today I did the turn-n-burn to pick up the first stick; a 21 ft X 20 inch diameter X 0.250 wall steel pipe; enough for 4 smokers.

Going to start with my "20 Series" offsets. This is a CAD rendering of the RF version with 20X30 inch main cooking grate; also going to offer it in a traditional flow smoker of the same size and a "stretch" version that will have 20X42 inch main grate.

Already have 2 sold; I'll post a build thread as this progresses.

Thanks for checking in.

Dave,
Congratulations on your venture, I am sure you will do well. I use to pull new jet ski and utility trailers to the port of Miami and come back empty, If it ever picks back up I could get pipe back cheap, I always came back with an empty 40 foot flatbed.

So basically what you're saying is that when the time comes for me to buy a reverse flow offset I will now have to choose between a Shirley and a DWFisk?

Thanks a lot!

Seriously, I'm happy for you taking the step. You've got more stones than me.

ABOUT TIME.!!! Put out a BoomShuckaLucka type too...!!!!!!!!

I have a guy that has been pestering me to design/build him a vertical rotisserie for for cooking ribs; he wants to hang the the ribs. After I get the 20 series down, I will be working out a 24 and a 30 inch diameter series. Maybe when I get some of that big pipe :becky:

How many Orders you got now?

Ha, up to 3 and one will be a stretched, traditional flow (not RF) with tuning plates for a Texas ex-pat cowboy who is the big boss at a local cattle ranch here in Florida.

Funny story, I mentioned I've been negotiating with steel suppliers and finally struck a deal with an outfit at the Port of Tampa. The sales engineer I've been talking to about steel specs and price finally asked what I was using 20, 24 and 30 inch pipe for and when I told him and shared the CAD files he ordered one on the spot.

So, #1 goes to a fellow Brethren, #2 goes back to the pipe supplier and #3 to the cowboy. I'm finishing up building some plasma cutting jigs today and hope to be cutting pipe by the end of the week.

Any time, just let me know when.

Only building reverse flowers?

Nope, same concept will be available in more traditional offset but with the exhaust at the level of the main grate and tuning plates if desired.

Any Camo paint job options.?

Rustoleum now produces their 1200*high temp paint in tan, grey & green in addition to black but only in rattle cans (seen it but never used it). So I'm thinking a good 2 coat base coat of satin black with the HVLP gun then use the tan, grey & green for the camo pattern would work just fine.

Hey, why don't you give it a test run on one of your babies and report back :becky:
