G'day out there from the Yarra Valley in Australia.

Been looking to re live some taste sensations from my youth around the Tropics and Asia, and hopeful someone out there has some advice on grill cooking with Coconut Husks / Coconut coals., such longevity of heat, or temp limitations etc., etc.,

Also would anyone be ever so kind and maybe throw out a good simple basic spicy tropical baste / marinade for Chicks or Prawns or Occy's that wont burn too much.

Or at least a one stop book etc.,

Be easy if you come to Bali.
How involved or simple do you want the marinades?
When I get back to Melbourne I can send you some recipes
And links to products.

Where in the yarra valley are you?

Thanks AussieTitch - Oh Bali ! sweet sweet memories of youth indeed.

just some simple ones as these can be knocked up on the card table without the dog stealing anything while you work.

i remember in the early 80's i had barbecued prawns up there once in a lean too shack on a road out of Sanur that put some real fizz in bung !!

out near Coldstream, so got easy access to the best wines and fruits etc.,
