New to this forum don't know if I'm doing this right hopefully ii will get the hang of it soon just wondering how to fit a brisket on my new 18inch smokey mountain do I need to cut it in half and put half on each rack thanks hpe I'm posting this right

I would leave it whole and put a metal bowl or rib rack under the middle until it shrinks enough to fit.

I just scrunch it up and squeeze it in between the handles of the top rack. It'll shrink up as it cooks.

I posted this earlier this week. A 15lb'er on my 18" Bayou Classic smoker. It went edge to edge. Like the others said, put a small metal bowl under for a few hours. I will shrink to fit after a while.
