That's a nice looking rig! I've been waiting since January and hopefully it will only be a couple more weeks. Question, did Tyler or Paul call you to finalize the build before they started?

shnmclr, we had email back and forth about 1-2 weeks before my due date so they didn't really have to give me a call since we're been having correspondence. All the best on the wait and for sure, it's worth it!!

Nice! Removable stack??

Yes, Jason. Tyler did it just in case the height is too high for the trailer that the shipper is using.

I owned a trailer Shirley before and it fit in my garage fine , got my golf cart model home a few months ago and would not clear to put it in the garage and had to pay a fabricator to make it removable but all good now . glad Tyler gave you a heads up and sweet smoker you are going to love it .

Thanks everyone. Yeah I'm so excited and can't think of anything else until it arrived safely in my house this Saturday. Just right for Mother's Day...thinking of cooking for my wife that pushed me to buy the SF....she deserved the first cook..... :becky:

As for the removable stack, I didn't think of that at all until Tyler mentioned it. So great to hear that it'll fit in the garage - maybe should have gotten a trailer
Just tells you how great the Shirleys are - they definitely put a lot of care in their products.

Will post more pics as I get it.

What do you do when you have 2 LSGs yet still want a Shirley? You convince your buddy neighbor to buy one.

Bbqlearner's long awaited day is finally here:

It was a bear trying to get this behemoth down from the truck without a pallet and forklift. The transport guys bought some 2x8s and made a ramp with nailed half inch plywoods on top. There was a scary moment when the pit almost got away at an angle and was headed to crush bbqlearner. Quick tug from his wife from the opposite end on the rope combined with the two transporters pushing it back saved the day.

Thanks Haniel for the pics and story. I'm still too shocked from the after-math of that experience so have not had a chance to post yet. I just noticed that my chest is hit by the smoker pretty hard that it left a mark lol....a day to remember for sure....thanks to the Shirleys for an awesome smoker....in the end, it all works out good....:biggrin1:

Nice smoker and Gazebo!!!,

Does the Gazebo have Air conditioning?

Yeah fully equipped AC and everything....:becky:....just kidding....

Nope...it just has moveable screens to keep out the elements on 3 sides with 1 side open (mainly to prevent rain and water from spilling all over my outdoor kitchen, etc.).

I love that pit... The low profile golf cart wheels look great on a cart but I tell people that it will move easier with the 12 inch chromes like on yours... The pits are heavy... You have a beautiful place there.... Congrats!!!
