I got another pair of welding gloves today. Always excited when I get a new pair :biggrin1:. Got them so I could have one sitting in my camper, at home, and in my sf. These are the best I've ever found to date and have clearly bought them multiple times. The price is very nice and the extra padding in the fingers is better than any other I've tried. Might be something better out there, but not that I have found or tried on from all my other bbq buddies. Just thought I would share what I like. I grab all kinds of hot charcoal pans on my backwoods, shirley, etc.

Thanks. Grabbed a pair. All mine are thin in the fingers.

They are not as long as some, but have more padding than the long ones that I've found. And the thing I always wanted was the additional heat padding vs glove length.

Love them. Your hands are the worlds best tool. Grabbing lit logs, hot racks, rearranging lit charcoal, hot pads.

I'll have to try some out. I have oven mit things and every time i grab my cast iron pan the blue lettering melts onto the pan.

I was just gonna ask if you can grab a hot cast iron skillet with them on

Eventually, they will get greasy and that will transfer the heat through, but as a self proclaimed reckless user of welding gloves, I get about a year out of a set. At around 10 bucks a set, I feel no remorse in tossing them

Good timing! My old one are getting stiff and are pretty worn! I'll give them a shot. Thanks!

Welding gloves are the only way to go! I use black ones, don't "look" so dirty around the public.

Thanks! Been meaning to replace my crappy ones that have a hole in them.

Yeah these you can just about grab anything. I'm in my shirley firebox all the time with them and have taken out the firebox when it is as hot as it can get. Like anything the padding will eventually wear, get a little greasy and then the heat comes through faster and they will of course stiffen up. But that happens with any glove. And this price lasting a year or so I never mind getting new pairs.

I thought I was original when I started using them 10 years ago , I usually go for the 3 pack from Harbor Frieght , these look way nicer

I have a pair I got on clearance from World Market years ago, and they're a surprising hearty glove. But this is a really good price, especially if they're that good.

Nice gloves but I prefer them longer for more flesh protection.

Lol; so that's what they look like new. Been so long I've forgotten. Mine are beat; a very very dull blue now. Great gloves.

You tried gloves on your BBQ buddies. :heh:

Thanks for the tip. My current gloves are still working ok. But I put these in my "wish list" on amazon and will pick up a pair next time I need some....:thumb:
