After burning out the UDS barrel, and removing the exterior paint, is there anything special to wipe it down with before spraying on the new paint?

Mineral spirits or denatured alcohol. I use Brake Clean or Electrical Contact Cleaner in spray cans.

I wiped mine down with a shop towel and sprayed right over it. I put the "Ugly" in UDS

Take it to a quarter car wash and hit it.

Well heck, couldn't I just use a pressure washer w/water?

Yes of course. Just offered the cheapest suggestion first.

I have used a pressure washer on the insides of all mine to assure I get out all the red dust.

So, for my own clarification, I don't need to use chemicals like mineral spirits if I have access to a pressure washer? I could just use water.

Just don't wait too long to get paint on it because it will start rusting immediately. I had my last one sand blasted and by the next morning it had started to lightly rust. I wiped it down with acetone and sprayed it.

I just wiped down with low odor mineral spirits
