Finally found short ribs around here at a decent price. Restaurant Depot had them for $3.89/lb. Couldn't pass them up. I somewhat followed Aaron Franklin's method - I put a light coat of hot sauce on before putting the rub on, but I used SPOG rather than just salt and pepper, and I cooked around 275-300 and spritzed with beef broth about every half hour after three hours cooking.

All done. They cooked faster than I expected - they were done in about 6 hours:

I too did some of these for the first time a couple of weeks ago and think they are now my favorite. Yours look terrific. Nice job.

Well done. Those look delicious.

Short Ribs are my favorite cut of cow period and I think they have supplanted pork spares as my favorite barbecue item.

I wish I could take credit for the corn, too, but it's actually a steamer bag of frozen veggies. I can't remember the brand, but it's honey roasted corn. I love it.
