Ok so with the new #32 grinder I got last week I was bummed I couldn't use it right away, but tomorrow I'm gonna make life happen with it. I actually had about 8lbs of beef, 20lbs of pork and 15lbs of boneless skinless chicken thighs already in the freezer to grind, but then made the mistake of stopping at RD on the way home.

So I grabbed a 16lb brisket and a 40lb case of boneless skinless thighs. I knew I was going to get more beef, but chicken prices have dropped and thighs were around $1.20/lb last time I was there and today they were $.77/lb. So I just grabbed a case and won't have to thaw the chicken.

Gonna be fun tomorrow!!

I let the grinder hang by our one tree as a Christmas present :becky:

Looks like you could reproduce a scene from the movie Fargo with that thing!

Have fun!

If you thaw the frozen meat to grind is it safe to refreeze after grinding?

Most meat folks get at the store has been previously frozen and they don't know. But yes I will refreeze some of it. Read more here

Yeah I guess the timing is the key there. I'm sure with that grinder you'd plow through that stuff and it would be back frozen in no time.
