I've used Black Ops brisket rub before, came out good. Also, I'm thinking maybe the Carne Crosta might be good with that coffee flavor.

Let us know what you do and how it turns out.

I tried the carne rub lastingly on a think ribeye , I really liked it and. I morally done like running steaks to much

For PSB I just like Santa maria to be part of the flavor but not be the flavor. Black Ops is alright for PSB, but Santa Maria is where it's at.

Although, I haven't used carne crosta in this way I wouldn't think it would be too shabby.

At the end of the day you could probably use any rub from Oakridge and it would be fine. They don't make a single bad product IMO.

Forgot about Santa Maria, that's another good one to use. Great on steaks too.

I'm going to use my Weber kettle w/ the snake method. How many coals per layer and how many layer ? 3-2-1 or 2-2-1?
