I was looking to buy a weber smokey mountain smoker, but the price was too rich for my blood. With Christmas just around the corner I could not justify the cost. I got a brand new never used 55 gal barrel for free from work. So check this forum and other I decided to get one of those big Pappy smoker kits. It was easy to do and looks really good too. !40.00 and free shipping. Got everthing I needed, including the steep drill. This thing makes some great food!!

About the only thing you need to do extra to this kit is add some red RTV sealer to the intakes. Once you put them on you will or might notice a gap in between the intakes and the drum. THis will cause temp control issues a swell as shutting down the smoker.

Other than that one little tweak, the Big Poppa EDS is one hell of a cooking machine!

DOH!! Got nija'ed by Fwismoker (http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/member.php?u=50296) lol read his link for sure....
