Smoked a 6 or so pound chuck roast on the RF today. After 5 hours or so I put Mr. Chuckles into a DO on one of the Eggs. I put 3 ounces of Fireball whiskey in the DO. When I was done I drained the DO into a jar. Excuse my ignorance but is this Au Jus? If so any thoughts on using it, seeing how it has quite a bit of booze in it?

How long did you cook with the Fireball? Alcohol dissipates with cooking. There's probably none left, just the flavor.

Right around 3 hours...temp was 225-250*.

Good for pouring on the beef sandwiches, or you can add a small amount to baked beans for flavoring.

I would agree that if the dutch oven you added it to was over 100, the alcohol evaporated away leaving only the flavor. The same is true when cooking with wine (Beef Bourguignon, Chateaubriand, ect)...
