Does any one know a way to get the threading to work with a weed burner at a 1lb tank?

I'd prefer not to buy a J torch if I can just adapt the threads.

I'd check with the local propane dealer to see if they have an adapter.

The U-haul guy didn't have any ideas for me. Not sure where else to ask.

^^^^ This, but you might also need to put a small regulator on the line as well...

if he is going to buy that he might as well just by a burner designed for the small bottle and be done with it

I blindly bought a refill adapter, for like $11. It didn't fit. $24 explains why I didn't see this one. I will have to browse to see if there are others with the threading like you linked.

I agree with your comment about buying the right burner, but I can't use two torches at once. I am going to use multiple grills this weekend for 20 people for my birthday - and that helps the case with my wife* for having multiple grills. Too bad I didn't buy the J torch in the first place.

why do you need multiple torches? mine light the grill in a jiffy, just light one then move on to the next one

I don't. I'm just avoiding the chatter that would come from the wife if I bought a second one. I was just wanting to be able to be free from the 18lb tank. That is why I wanted an adapter.

Here's what I made. Purchased components from Northern Tool. Doesn't work as good as you would think, because of the rate of flow, the tank ices up real quick.

I would just buy a tip for a 1 lb bottle like I did .

If it is your birthday then you can just have your wife follow you around holding the tank :becky:
