Due to working long hours on night shift on the KODIAK Deepwater Project, i dont have much time to Q. As such, i thought i would whip up some seafood. Its fast and easy. Just some Red Snapper, Soft Shell Crabs, shrimp and crabs. Nothing fancy at all my friends. Hope that yall enjoy and thanks for looking.

The seafood cooks super fast. The soft shell crabs take only 90 seconds to fry. Heck it takes longer to clean them than it does to cook them. The hard crabs boil for 10 minutes and the shrimp for two. Goes real fast compared to Q. And thanks for the compliments my friend.

Thank you brother. I use to fly in and out of Grand Isle on a regular basis. Exxon, ConocoPhillips and PHI all have heliports there that I used. I hope you going down there to fish instead of catching a chopper!! Of all the times I flew in and out of there I never got to hang around and fish.

Port Fourchon yes sir. I will be fishing, eating, cooking and cutting up with tons of deep water offshore guys next week. It is all for charity and good fun. I get to see friends I haven't seen in a year. We have a place rented on the island that holds 14 and we turn it into a party house for four days. Tons of fun, laughs, great food and bloody Mary's!

It does look fantastic.
It's funny though, as a kid growing up on the coast we used to catch and eat seafood like that several times a week.
Amazing how one can come to think of seafood as boring. "What... again!"
I miss it ALL now.

Brother Grim, thanks man. When this job is over, we need to get together again and whip up some seafood and beef ribs. I should be finished up pretty quick and hopefully will be off until after the holidays. I have found a fellow over here that moults crabs so i have access to fresh soft shells almost weekly. We will break out the big Shirley and the Rocket pot and go to town!!

Thank you brother. I love soft shell crab myself. A few years back, i was able to eat 23 of them in 30 minutes flat in a charity eating contest. Needless to say, i advanced to the finals:biggrin1:

Thank you for the kind words my friend. Yes sir, you eat the whole thing as is. Soft shells are blue crabs that have shed their hard shell. You have to get them pretty quick after they shed because they start turning hard real quick again. But when they first shed, the whole crab, legs and all is soft. Again, thank you brother.

I love the flavor of blue crabs. I've had them many times in many areas of the country but they were hard shelled. I've seen the soft shells on menus but have never tried them. Sounds like the softshells would be the way to go. No cracking and picking. Just sit down and chow down. :becky:
Thanks!
