Short and sweet, great meat!
Wagyu, Got some Wagyu grade 9 annoyingly marketed as "Karubi"; navel plate beef.
It seems Aussie producers are diving right in to the BS marketing of hokey practises too.
Anyway, good quality beef.

Sliced some thinly and grilled it really hot, then glazed it with Japanese Tare.

Served it with grilled rice cakes and fresh cabbage with Tare.

Looks good. Grilled rice cakes, that's new. I wonder if my wife would enjoy that. Seems it would be sticky.

Thanks brother, this was some damn fine eating!

Yes landarc, so bloody annoying, it is the beginning of what we did with the dish named "Calamari", marketers and ignorance made it the name for squid everywhere in the English speaking world. Now only Italians are getting it right.

Galbi is marinated ribs in Korean. How on earth they made those leaps and decided they would call it the Japanese take of "Karubi" we will never know.

Wrapping some bacon around those grilled rice cakes would not hurt them.

Those rice cakes look interesting (good). I know it's been asked, but are you going to part with particulars as to how to make those things? I remember a thread you started with some good looking biscuits, looks like you've got this stuff all figured out.
