Finally decided to get a decent injector. Found this on sale for $19.95 at Patio Sites Inc. It's a Bayou Classic. Came with two needles, one for liquid marinade and one for the stuff with particles in it. Also came with a handful of extra O-rings for the needles and the plunger.

Anybody have any experience with this puppy? Decent injector? Durable?

Hey Wook, that's a nice injector! Well built and will take a beating.

I think Brother Diesel Dave has one like that.

I'm sure he'll chime in once he gets off the road from Georgia.

Thanks Pat. It's definitely hefty. Now I just gotta get something to inject and try it out before the critical T-Day....

Thanks, I had one of the ones that are plastic and SS, but it just gave up the ghost last time I use it. Top came off and it just fell apart. Had to resort to one of the freebees that come with injectable marinade. I actually had to retrieve if from my gun bench.

I decided right then it was gonna be all SS after that, then I tripped on this one for 20 bucks....

What do you guys use as a container for the injection these injectors? It's a pain to fill with the rounded multi holed needle. I often am wrestling with the cup of injection and trying to get all the holes submerged but often get air. Very annoying!

I've started using a tall condiment bottle, but its not perfect. Love the big injectors, but the fill process is always a struggle. Interested to hear others ideas.

Marinade mainlining... an unsung problem of BBQ addiction :heh:

Yeah, someone needs to invent a container for injections.

You could make a killing! Well, a small killing anyway.

Looking good. A little olive oil on the o-ring helps. Here's some pretty good stuff for turkeys and such:
