In town for the week and looking for a place to get some plate cut beef ribs. I am also trying to track down a Weber on CL because my buddy doesn't have one :tsk: and all I brought was my mini.
I'm staying on the East side but working on the West side, so travel is not an issue.

You could try an AJ's Fine Foods. When I lived out there that's where I would go for the harder to find cuts

Always Blu! Always. I'm staying in the mean streets of Scottsdale.

Shag, Aj's always has good top quality food at a ridiculously high price. There is one very close to where I am and they have a sale going on, 1/2 off all prime meat but 1/2 off of $35/lb is no bargain. Even the beer is about twice what it should be.
There is a RD in town so I may have to go browse but I do not need a case of anything.

Yea, I know they're pricey. It was just the only thing that came to mind. RD is definitely a better bet

Hopefully that helps. I've been to the pork shop a few times but not the other places. Love the pork store! It's like Disneyland for Bbq folk like us!

Midwestern meats in Mesa is the only place that I've found them so far. I hadn't checked food city before, so that's worth checking but I know that Midwestern Meats has some good quality meats.

The Bus. Costco in San Diego has a huge meat dept. They have lots of different cuts that your standard local market wouldn't carry but I don't know if they can do any custom cuts. The one in Phoenix may or may not be the same.

Don't have to buy it by the case. The short ribs here are sold in two packs. Though they do add a few cents per pound for unit prices.

Sounds like you already got 'em, but was going to suggest some of the same - Food City, Midwestern Meats in Mesa -- for bigger cuts there's a Chef Store in Tempe that has good stuff (have to sign up for their membership, but it's free).
