My LSG vertical offset is ready for pickup. Just 100 miles down I45 so should be home by noon. I can season it in the afternoon, and throw on a couple butts Saturday.

Too cool another Texas pit about to go online. Be careful down 45 it can be a real you know what. Don't forget to stop at one of my favorite places Woody's Smokehouse and snag some Q and jerky. Be safe!

Well....Chris said about 16 weeks from date of order. That might mean latter part of January. I am always hopeful! Let's face it..LSG is turning out great products and the word is out.

Made the drive to New Waverly and back home by noon. Sprayed the interior with oil and have started the fire.

Congrats on the fine smoker!

I'd take that grill grate out from the top of the fire box to help it last though.

Regards,

Kevin

Thanks for tip. I left it in to get it seasoned, but will take it out when I cook later tonight. Does anyone know if I need to let it cool down before throwing on two butts later tonight around 10pm?

Nice new cooker, congrats.

And no, you don't if you run the seasoning cook long enough to remove any random odors

Congrats on your new pit. I picked mine up about 2 weeks ago. Your going to really enjoy it.

Cooked two butts last night. Put on at 9:00pm last night and took off at 9:00 am this morning. Didn't cook a fatty since I wasnt sure how long it would take and I went to bed. Got up at 3:00am to add wood. Never in danger of running out of fire. I really like that it can be loaded up and burn for hours with minimal oversight.

I have 5 butts and 3 briskets in freezer, so I have of practice material. These two butts were for some friends here today and one for the daughter and SIL to take home.
