It is a 150 gallon vertical, four 26.5" dia racks, a stick burner with just the door for fire control for now, going to add a daisy wheel and close the door, 120lb cast iron man hole cover for a diffuser and heat sink: temps rebound in three mins after mopping or whatever, 8" exhaust. I shovel the coals out at the end of a cook and it takes five hours to cool down. It is a heavy mofo, had to use a tractor to move it. The stand is a cracked semi rim.

LOVE the manhole cover idea for a diffuser; probably take forever to get 120# hot, but once you get there you will be hot for farkin ever. Not surprised it recovers so fast! Great design cooker!

Thanks yall! takes half an hour to get up to temp, I burned about three five gallon buckets of splits, very small fire to get 325 out of it.

I used to work at a foundry that makes them, got it on the cheap as it was scrap...https://scontent-dfw1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/12039426_10153566362822978_6868221962366356323_n.j pg?oh=bb659b70b9064da8b045491b84cff89f&oe=56A1A5E0

Nice looking pork, and that's a crazy one-of-a-kind vertical cooker idea...

Sounds like she's more economical on the wood than we expected!

Thanks for sharing!
