It's another beautiful morning here is SE PA.
When you marry a boy with strong southern roots, you need to be able to cook sausage gravy... so that was the menu this morning...

Took my 50+ year old CI skillet out to the Blackstone and started cooking some sausage...

Cooked them down, and made the gravy...

Here is Al's plate - there are a couple of biscuits buried under there... topped with some fried eggs

This is my plate - I am not a fan of the gravy...

Man that looks awesome! I take it using iron skillets and cookware is safe to use on it? this opens up a whole new world for me!

Thanks George - Al already has it packed up for breakfast tomorrow morning. Good luck getting it away from him.

I thought using pans on a griddle top didnt work well. Looks like that worked fine to me though

Great looking brekkie

pans on a griddle top work great, one of the things I learned while cooking for moola, in fact, cooking sauces and simmered stuff on a French top is the best

Is this a test??

Fry up the sausage, add some flour and cook it in the drippings, add some milk and a bunch of pepper let it get thick - add back in the chopped up sausage. Throw it over some biscuits and in Al's case, top with a couple of fried eggs.
