I am working on an upright, cabinet style smoker as my latest home build.

With the price of fiberglass P-gasket, I have often wondered about the use of Nomex gasket on the door. It seems to me, that it would distort less, and provide a better seal. Because I haven't used this product before, I was hoping someone could enlighten me about it's use.

I was just paging bak thru the older post and seen this. This is what I use for my lid seal on my primo and it works great I've had up over 700 and the sticky side stays stuck like it spose too. The first times I replaced my seal I used the rope and high temp sealant last time I used the nomex peel and stick much easier and works great. Just my 2 cents

Hey Bludawg, thanks for the link! I've been thinking about sealing up my WSM, looks like I'll have plenty left over for replacement
