I have used it quite a bit. It is mesquite wood from Mexico. It works well for me. It seems they literally make charcoal from the tree and put the chunks in the bag so sizes widely vary, but I burn it in my kamados all the time and have little problem with temperature spikes.

i bought 4 bags. who knows how long theyll have lump at that price

Bought a bag lately but have not used it yet. My gut says, use it in a Santa Maria cooker with occasional additions of Pecan or Oak For Steaks / Beef.
