Happy 4th of July everyone!!!

I was tasked with providing dinner for my family's get together tonight, but after smoking about 200lbs of pork butt this week, I was too bbq'd out. So I thought, why not a crab boil.

The boil consisted of red potatoes, corn, kielbasa, snow crab legs, shrimp, mussels and scallops. Everyone loved it!

Thanks for looking!

Holy cow! Q or not I'd jump all over that! Being a southern boy from Louisiana (where I grew up) the spices are confusing me though.. You boiled (the best way in my opinion) but used Old Bay (a Yankee spice...lol. :heh: oh crap can I say Yankee anymore?) but you have some delicious Crystal hot sauce (from Louisiana of course!) It's like I'm pulled in all directions! Lol. :becky:

Nice cook! :thumb:

I also used Zatarain's crab and shrimp boil to add to the confusion!

Oh good lord! Lol. Actually it sounds like you mostly cooked it Louisiana style. Zatarain's is very good in a boil! Where'd the Old Bay come in at?

I added some to the boil and sprinkled some in the finished product.

Yum factor went to 11.

I like the discussion on spices used. I know old bay and zatarain's. What are other choices? The hubs was just talking about doing a boil and would to know other options from what y'all do.

Great job! :thumb:

Ditto on the Louisiana seasonings. I personally never use Old Bay, but I'd still jump in there!
