I've been on this forum for some time without contributing much... I have learned much and used the information found here to help me along in my build and my cooking.

I'm sharing a couple of videos that I made. The first shows the start of the build (May 2014) till the time of the first cook (Aug 2014). With pressure from friends and family, I entered the Norco Brew N Que and worked on completing the build in time for the competition. The second video shows some of the cooking over the past fall and winter, the final build and of course my first KCBS competition...

Hopefully these videos will inspire some other newbie to jump right in and get it done! I'm no master fabricator and did 80% of the project in my driveway. The start was at my friends shop which gave me use of a forklift (a HUGE help!).

Now that my free time is not taken up with the build, I plan on being more active as I continue to learn the BBQ life! (I hope the links work)

Cheers and enjoy!

Looks like a great cooker! I had no problem with the music in the second video, been a while since I heard that song.

DUB, no worries... there will be other comps.

jafo, 65th out of 75... best was 29th in pork (I was just happy I beat a friend that had five comps under his belt!)

250 gal... original tank was over 9' long, which was a bit much.
