Happy Phriday Phu! Still no end in sight for the rain, so I will have to play it by ear again. I'm in the mood for Tri-Tip if the weather gives me a few minutes. Maybe I'll just cook in the convection toaster oven. :-D I wonder if my wife would mind me putting my A-MAZE-N-TUBE-SMOKER in there.

Doing kabobs on the 26 tonight. Cubed monkfish, bacon, and grape tomatoes skewers. Being 750 miles from the closest ocean, don't get to take advantage of fresh, unfrozen ocean fish too often. Now catfish and trout...yeah, we have plenty of that. Couldn't pass up the monkfish, one of my favorites.

I'm hanging an SRF bone-in ribeye in the PBC. By the way, did I mention that it's a way better cooker........... Never mind, I think we beat the crap out of the topic already. But I am looking forward to it!

Y'all have a great weekend! When I can start smoking on a Friday afternoon, it sure starts on an up-swing!

Like sliding billy, rain is a factor in my plans. My son (Totally Basted) is coming down this weekend so I know he's usually up for firing up the the Egg, cooking some meat and drinking some beers with the old man.

SRF brisket for Sunday, and I think I'll just be doing some chix for Saturday. May throw on a butt to get the freezer restocked and might make a little sausage with brisket trimmings.

Have Phun Phu, crew and the rest of you Pharkers!

Got a package of country style ribs begging to be cooked, not sure if they will get grilled, or smoked. Don't have sides lined out yet. Made a new batch of bbq sauce the grandson is in love with, so that's a go. Now lets see what the weather will dictate, if rain the smoker, if nice probably the grill, or can smoke them first, and finish on the grill, that is something to like about the vertical offset.

I think it's short rib time. I've been cooking pork a ton and I need to mix it up!

Got a SRF brisket showing up and 4 racks of spares going on tomorrow. I totally forgot the SRF briskets show up frozen so I'll be doing an overnight cooler thaw before tomorrow. I hope it defrosts...
