So that's about 10.63 lb equivalent to the 20 lb bags which is a good deal...but why do they play games with these odd size weighted bags?

Called the homedepot and lowes in my area and they are both completely sold out :(

I only bought 3 double packs today. I figured Memorial Day is right around the corner and there should be a good sale then too where I'll reload.

I grabbed 6 last night. I should go for more before the weekend is up. I've gone through 4 20# bags this season already.

Be sure to take advantage of Kingsford's free bag of charcoal when you buy 2. http://www.kingsfordhoops.com/

(Disclaimer: I sent them my receipt, but have absolutely NO IDEA if this is gonna work on the double packs or not.)

Duuuude, thanks for the link!

There is a little better deal at Lowe's, buy 4 2-packs online (it says only 2 per customer but you can order 4) for store pickup and use the $15 off $50 coupon: 4700RRRRRR4676R (replace all of the R's with random numbers) - it's a bit of a crap shoot but I got it on the first try.

Just make sure they are the 20lb packs because sometimes they want to give you the 18.6bls.

Wish they had that sale going on here in Alaska. Went to HD and they said it was a Black Friday spring sale for ya all` in America. Well may have to wait for Memorial Day Weekend. Can usually get it here for about $12.00 for twin packs. Little more because of shipping costs up here.

I'll wait for Mennards to have a sale on Royal Oak. No longer a fan of Kingsford.

Because people are dumb and anything just under $10 will sell even if the unit cost is higher than a $12 item. ;-)

Ill take Trader Joe's All Natural Hardwood Briquettes any day over Kingsford. I use to be an avid Kingsford guy too. For 7.99 for 18 lbs. , this is the best coals I ve ever found. And I stock up in the fall because they are seasonal.

There was about half a pallet left. They wanted to load it on a pallet for me, but I had no way to unload the pallet, easier to take em off one bundle at a time.

When there is a thread on brisket do people chime in that they don't eat beef?

Picked up about 16 bags of Kingsford and 5 bags of Royal Oak. Going back tomorrow to get more Kingsford for the free bag coupon and since Royal Oak was on sale I'll probably get a few more bags of that. I haven't paid full price on any charcoal for a year - picked up 320 lbs of Kingsford on Labor Day last year and still have a little left. I should be nearly set for the summer.

I bought a crapload of KBB last July 4 and still have 6 bags left. I might be able to make it until this July 4, methinks.

But our HD had quite a bit when we were there last night

According to the Lowes website they have the following on sale…

Kingsford 2-Pack 18.6-lb Charcoal Briquettes @ $12.99
OR
Kingsford 2-Pack 20-lb Charcoal Briquettes @ $12.99
