Can anyone take an educated guess at the age?

It's hard to see with the pics taken against the dry grass, but I'll guess that it's the pared down basic kettle (going by the 'racing' triangle, less rods than normal) with the 3 daisy wheels as intakes.....1988 or 89.........around the time the One Touch started

Yes, Weber

Looks like the 1980 model I received as a wedding gift from my new BIL 35 years ago. Still have the lid resting on a UDS!

Neil....I know you probably remember getting married ( I sure do !!!) but this one's going to be newer.....wood handles on the bowl started 1981 & pretty sure the sparse triangle didn't happen 'till later.......

'80 had metal handles still, like my favorite cooker "Bob".....

Skip, a quick call to the person would figure it out......either I or Neil's idea will be good, or somewhere in between & will have a letter code on the top vent.....right near the top in this pic....S / B one letter where the "ER" is.....

Also, if it says Palatine, it's newer too.....'83 on.....

Looks like all you need, is an ash pan. What are they asking for it?

FWIW, unless you are specifically looking for either a "vintage" grill or one with a very small footprint, I'd jump on this one instead.

It's a $50 Weber Performer.

Or this one for $60.

It has some character marks to it, but it's a Blue

Wooden handle, and Arlington Heights, IL stamped on the vent. Like I said, it looks like the one I received in 1980.
