I just finished building my new pellet smoker. The question I have is "do I paint the inside" or leave it raw steel?
If I paint it I'm am thinking it may have that burnt paint smell. What do you all think???--Livy

Leave it raw and season it with oil.

I'd be surprised if anyone here recommends painting the inside. Once it gets seasoned, you won't have to worry about rust.
