Hey brethren. I need some help. Next week I have to smoke 3 turkeys and a Boston Butt. I want to brine one of the turkeys and inject the other two. Any suggestions on a good injection flavor, maybe a home made one. Thanks.

For turkey injection I've been doing something pretty simple and it is great. This is actually enough for 2 turkeys depending on size. Put everything in a pot and simmer for 10mins. Then cool.

-1 Quart chicken broth
-1 stick of butter
-1/4 Cup bbq rub (adjust quantity for taste and I grind mine so it goes through the injector easier)
-1/4 Cup hot sauce (adjust quantity for taste)
-Any additional spices you want to try

I brine my turkey and inject it with Cajun butter

Not homemade but I've had some success using watered down Tony Chachere's injectable Creole butter, about equal portions of water and TC.

I only inject with a stick of butter, but then I always brine mine too.
I like Jason's (fnbish) suggestion above though.
