Tonights meal, cooked over local harvested alderwood in my COOK-AIR, is handmade cheeseburgers.

the recipe is my GF's...no idea what she puts into it, but there is onion, Worcestershire or Lea and Perrins, salt pepper, egg, grated cheese......i think....

the wood i cut today from a fallen alder tree. I spent a few hours "smoking" it over the grill to dry it out bone dry. Smoking the smoking wood.....:biggrin1:

Those are some outstanding looking burgers. I've never cooked with it but always heard that when cooking with alder you had to remove the bark - what do you think?
