Meatless Monday Fail. Yesterday was Driver License renewal in person time. The one where you have to take SSCard, birth certificate, registration, insurance, etc etc-PLUS eye test and swear in person you are who you claim to be-- not the Attaboy Online version. I got there right as they locked the door and threw up the "be back at 1" sign. A Walmart across the street provided a sack of wings and strips so the bride and I had a picnic in Hereford Texas. A man has to be flexible, lest he break :-))

The Drivers License office is always an interesting study in behavior.

I would call it a study in how to create a C F. And I don't mean cloister! When I did mine this last year, they asked me to prove that I was who I said I was. I have had a driver's license for over 56 years. They did not like my copy of my birth certificate, so I had to contact Texas to get another certified copy. I am normally a very even tempered and easy to get along with person, but they managed to push me over the edge of my tolerance line. Good thing my wife was with me to drag me out of there before the armed escorts arrived. But not before I was able to suggest a resting place for the copy of my birth cert to be located. :evil:
