Hello Brethren! I finally had time to take photos of my new Pitmaker Vault that I received a bit ago. I've been using my Large BGE for all smoking duties since 2009, but decided I wanted something with more capacity and needed to save up for my next smoker. I went to a few competitions here in Colorado and saw just about every pit there is before going with the Vault. Today I'm seasoning it up and hope to use it sometime this week for the first time. The color is Spectre Blue Metallic and I added the option of a heat deflector and ash pan. All vaults now come standard with a 2" ball valve. I haven't seen to much chatter about Pitmaker products on here in a while so I figured this may help those looking into one. Thanks for looking!

I see a chute on each side- asuming they are the exhaust and smoke n heat goes up between inner and outer wall then drops to exhaust entrance ?

It comes up the back, if you look close you can see an opening all the way across at the top. Then exits thru the channels on the sides like SmittyJonz said

Okay, I can see it now. So there is enough draw in that baby to basically suck the heat and smoke down across the meat, and then out through those side vents? She must be tighter than a fish's butt.:thumb:

Here are the internals post-seasoning. I sprayed the inside down along with each rack with Canola oil, and hit it with a weed burner for a few mintues. After that, I put in probably 4 pounds of KBB and let it go for 4 hours or so. It looks like everything seasoned pretty well except for maybe the portion of the racks that was in each runner (C-channel).

that is nice!! I'm interested in seeing the inside where the valves come in. and in the fire box, starting from top is that a water pan, wood basket then ash pan?

Most of the insulated cabinet smokers work similar. Cabinet reverse flow.
