Any ideas for stand alone firebox (other than burn barrels)

I've been looking for a firebox or some other metal contraption to burn down logs/splits to embers, for shoveling into my hog cooker, but don't really see anything. I've tried the 55 gal burn barrel with rebar technique, and though it works fairly well, I'm looking for something more efficient, and more portable.

Any ideas other than calling a welder?
