Anyone try this stuff? At $49.95 per 9 lbs yeah really 9 lbs just curious if it really burns twice as long and if it gives food a nice flavor.

May be the only way short of going to Jamaica to experience the full jerk flavor.

I would try a bag for JERK cooks. That's about it.I can get O.O. for $3and change for a 10 lb bag.

About 6 dollars a pound, but says "PERFECT JERK MIX is a blend of Pimento Wood and Log Wood Charcoals."

The key is if you want it, you'll buy it..

You can also put allspice in your coals.

It goes against my personal BBQ objectives to pay that much for charcoal but if it tastes good and really makes the dish, I say go for it. Personally I think BBQ is more about trying to use what is local and readily available.

Now I know how they came up with the name "jerk" cooking!

I just can't justify paying more for the charcoal than the food I'm cooking.
